Do you have a chronically infected or open wound?
Have you tried everything and endured a long ordeal?
Chronic wounds are a widespread health problem – both in Germany and worldwide. In Germany alone, more than 2 million people suffer from poorly healing wounds every year.
Older people or patients with underlying conditions such as diabetes mellitus, arterial circulatory disorders or venous insufficiency are particularly frequently affected.
The most common causes of chronic wounds are:
- Diabetic foot syndrome
- Ulcus cruris (open leg) due to venous or arterial circulatory disorders
- Pressure ulcers (decubitus ulcers) due to prolonged immobility
- Postoperative wound healing disorders
- Autoimmune or inflammatory wound progression
